We are an outdoor exercise program that focuses on strength building and conditioning in a highly motivating and positive group setting, where we build each other up, never tear down.

Our own experience has proven that it is difficult to start, let alone, maintain a healthy lifestyle and fitness routine on our own.

By connecting with a like-minded group of enthusiastic and encouraging individuals, who will immediately treat you like family, you will be well on your way to achieving your health and fitness goals.

Strength and Conditioning is Our Focus

Strength training will add definition to your muscles and give men and women alike more fit and toned bodies. But resistance training  does so much more. 

The benefits go well beyond the appearance of nicely toned muscles:

  • Your balance and coordination will improve, as will your posture. More importantly, if you have poor flexibility and balance, strength training can reduce your risk of falling by as much as 40 percent, a recent study showed.
  • Strong muscles, tendons, and ligaments are less likely to give way under stress and are less prone to injury. 
  • Boosts metabolism - which means you will burn more calories, even long after you are done exercising  
  • Reduced body fat - muscle weighs more and takes up less space than fat, so you will lose inches, even if the scale doesn't budge.
  • NOTE for women: Strength training will not make you "bulk up." The more your weight comes from muscle, rather than fat, the smaller you'll be. In fact, body weight often goes up with strength training, but dress size goes down! Plus, it's really, really difficult to get body-builder huge. Women produce about 5 to 10 percent the amount of testosterone men do, so don't worry. To seriously gain size, you'd pretty much need to live in the weight room. 
  • Stronger Bones. Increased bone density and strength reduces back and knee pain by building muscle around those areas. 
  • Less Joint Pain. Proper strength training is the solution to joint issues. 
  • You will be a better runner. Stronger muscles mean better performance—period. Your core will be better able to support your body's weight and maintain ideal form during other exercises (like running), plus your arms and legs will be more powerful. What's more, since strength training increases the number and size of calorie-torching muscle fibers fueling your performance, strength training could actually help you burn more calories during your cardio workouts. 
  • Your heart will thank you. Strength training can improve your heart health. In one Appalachian State University study, people who performed 45 minutes of moderate-intensity resistance exercise lowered their blood pressure by 20 percent.

To balance our strength building days, and to allow our muscles enough time to rest and repair, we have dedicated street running/walking days, and trail hiking/running days, where our pets are always welcome!

If you have never experienced the breathtaking views at the top of Rocky Peak or explored the beauty that surrounds you at Tapo Canyon Trail, you are missing out!

You will be utterly awed, and the best part is you get to do this with some of the best friends you will ever have!

This program is designed for the person who is committed to their health, but knows up front that they can't make every class. It's also a hit with students and those who travel, as they get to pick and choose the classes that best fit their schedule.

You can choose to attend 3 days a week; or 2 days one week, and 4 days the next; or any combination that suits your needs.
